With more and more people taking advantage of the low cost of renewable heating, the demand for reliable heat pump engineers, to service, maintain and repair air and ground source heat pumps is constantly increasing.

P.R.Cooling Services Ltd is able to offer servicing, maintenance and fault finding on virtually any of latest manufacturers models of air source and ground source domestic heat pumps.

Our engineers also have a good understanding of the control aspect of a modern domestic heat pump installation; a skill often lacked by many qualified plumbers.

A heat pump is a device that uses a small amount of energy to transfer heat from one place to another by means of a refrigeration system, typically from the air or the ground, depending on whether an air source or ground source heat pump is used. The heat is usually transferred to a hydraulic heating circuit that uses under floor pipes, oversized radiators or fan coil units to emit the heat into the building. Today's modern heat pumps will also generate enough heat to heat the water in a domestic hot water tank to 60˚C meaning that the heat pump can be the sole source of heat for a building where other fuels are unavailable.

A heat pump can supply a lot more energy than it uses which can mean a significant reduction in the running costs of many homes – even at temperatures as low as -20˚C and with no local CO2 emissions, a heat pump can help to reduce the impact on the environment.
